DEFINE

If you don’t have a clear idea of where you want to go, how do you decide which direction to take your first steps? Of course, every business wants to succeed and ‘grow’. But what defines successful growth?

At Wynne Digital we start with the where. What specific business goal do you want to achieve? It could be X sales in a specific month or grow your subscribers by Y in the next quarter.

This single business goal will be at the core of every decision we make on marketing efforts.

Calculate

Once the goals have been defined we need to establish how we are going to get there? Suppose you know that you need to travel across town for a meeting?

We follow the same process at Wynne Digital. What progress will we need to make today, tomorrow and in the next quarter to stay on track and hit our goal? This forms the goal trajectory that we need to align with.

From there, we look at what metrics make up that goal, traffic, conversion rate, ad budget and apply the same logic. What results do these metrics need to consistently achieve in order to keep the overall results aligned with the trajectory?

We then monitor all the key metrics to decipher which one needs the most work in order to give the greatest impact on the overall trend.

This enables us to prioritise optimisations, for example, let’s say that the overall trend is slightly below the trajectory. Looking at all of the metrics they are all above their specific targets except click-through rate.

This immediately tells us that a new/more engaging copy needs to be written.
